Mm... stepped onto the boss level of a random dungeon to find... walls. Nothing but walls covering every available tile on the level, with me stuck inside one, with absolutely no way out (short of suicide. Hmm...). Poor fellow was just starting to cruise a bit, too...
Unfortunately, there's no pre-descent save file, though there is (naturally) one of the critter entombed, if it'd help any.

You can always use the Wizard command to jump to the surface...you will get the silly message that you cant score the game but since Port isnt really about scoring anyway so what?

When you hit escape while casting a magic item scroll the game crashes. This is a consistantly replicatable bug.

There is something very corrupted with the Lancers HQ bottom floor...I am stuck in a save where the character cant attack (the game just ignores arrow keys or triggers the combat feats menu with no effect. Jump doesnt work and the screen is half darkened out and the game crashes if I move too far in the dark.

So I decided with no otherway to exit without losing my noneternal items (via the 'Q' command) Id take my own advice and wizard my way out (Control-W Control A J 0), with the note in hand (the last part of the quest...) took it back to the quest giver and got the menu choices that tell you where the quest is. Im guessing wizarding out of the dungeon without using the tothetop exit usually provided caused the quest to be screwy.

Also it seems to be a repeatable bug as I word of recalled down again and got the same beginning buggy message "The Book of Alteration Magic [Paralyze] disappears" and then the undead guys are unattackable. (Thankfully they just miss me)
Note that the reason Jump doesnt work has to do with the cursor going crazy when I try to find a jumpable spot.

Wow, you're right! This is a really bad one. I wonder what causes it... EDIT: It seems like it's only the bottom part of the level too! If I move to the upper part of the level, it works. Furthermore, the debug "full map" command displays the upper part, but not the bottom. It's as if the bottom part was ignored.

What exactly is the fail rate of Call Animal? It seems like it fails about 75% of the time.

What exactly is the fail rate of Call Animal? It seems like it fails about 75% of the time. There's no fail rater I believe, although it might not work at lower levels since there might not be enough animal monsters. If it can't be summoned(not enough space, etc...), it also won't appear.

well I find it doesnt work at a rate of 3 out of 4 tries.
Anyway next bug? (maybe) Just killed the boss of a level 8 dungeon (with my ranger) and got a nonmagical iron weapon...what gives? I find iron weapons on the ground sometimes on level 7. The boss wasnt super challenging but he did have the sharp arrows ability and smacked me around a bit before I managed to cream him.

Random dungeon bosses are 5 depths above the last level of the dungeon. So, a level 8 dungeon will have a depth 13 boss, meaning the average is 10.5, enough to generate iron items.
There are also some enemies who sometimes drops iron weapons as their preset treasure.
