Still no luck with Rogue builds. I guess it is just beyond my meager abilities.

Playing a miner Defender now and I just realized that the Armored Spellcasting Ability doesn't work as advertised. Apparently the hard gloves still cut your mana in half. Which is too bad because I was going to invest some points in that.

Armored Spellcasting works with everything except hard gloves\gauntlets as they are special case. If 5% of total AC isn't critical for you just use silk gloves.

Easier said than done, considering I am using the random items I find from digging. Also the game STATES that it cuts the out the penalty so it should.

For some reason I thought Lore of the Bard actually did something, like id stuff. Instead it gives nothing. 1 point in it raises neither wisdom nor intelligence with charisma at 13. It should at least give something for the point. :/ Bard I guess is borked.

Im also having trouble figuring out the difference between an Instant and Passive song. It seems to me that Instant songs are the same but with a single turn duration which seems like a rip off. I THOUGHT it would be at range so you could throw your voice at something and kill them etc. Guess not.

It counts BASE charisma only (before race and class modifiers) and adds 1/10 that to Int and Wis which means you need 400 points or so in charisma before it starts being useful to any serious degree. On the other hand I suspect once you get 400 points of charisma nothing in the game will be a challenge anyway.

Now I am wondering if Music skill does anything besides discount prefab (otherwise known as 'bad') songs. Is there a reason to raise it past a few starting points?

Can't not die with Bard too. :/ Every level = death.

Ok yes apparently Music adds to damage of damaging songs at a rate of about 1k damage per 5 points. So with 44 charisma and 62 music (after race+class) I do about 20k per song.

"You can't use this spell for a song." Lifeblast. Which is the ONLY way to handle some monsters if you aren't wielding a 5mil damage sword etc. So Bards are nerfed even more than I realized.

I seem to have disabled my shift+arrow key (or . + arrow key) to run. Not sure how. Started the Kobold quest killed the first boss and then the keys no longer worked properly. Not sure why.

Check numlock status - running is disabled when it's on.

Check numlock status - running is disabled when it's on. Numlock has been off. Turning it on does not change anything. Interestingly toggling the Numlock on then off a couple times seems to have fixed it. Seems there is a state based bug in there somewhere.

I seem to have broken the get a shop quest for the Stealthy Vipers. I killed Eloriel but Donoriel wasn't there and the Head viper doesn't accept the quest as done.
