Things you think are too powerful. This is for the characters and the various abilities, skills, stats, items, etc.. NOT a place to rant because the Mature Dragon or the Nightmare killed you!

Not a dragon or Nightmare, but the Sewers Quylthulg... although I've beat it with my current level 13 priest using a lot of healing and jumping around, it's level 18, and I think it's a bit much for this point in the game.
Lowering it's level from 18 to 12. Should be easier, considering it's already a bit of a "puzzle" boss the newbies, being invisible and all...

Interesting...I thought that was the point of it...kind of a speed bump for characters transitioning to the main quest. 18 sounds reasonable. Level 13 should not be able to just waltz in and beat it imho. Though casters have a distinct advantage if they have some telepathy.

But for this particular quest, other enemies in this dungeon are all level 10, and the goal of this monster is to teach new players that some enemies requires tricks and preparation to defeat. In this case, the challenge is to defeat an invisible enemy. Also, this is right after Balgam(another level 12), and there's no dungeons or quests between Balgam and the Sewers Quylthulg, if you follow the main quest and don't do any side quests. So the Quylthulg should be one step above Balgam, but not too much, because there's not much opportunity for leveling up or getting new gear. Invisibility is the Quylthulg's step up over Balgam.

Decided to start over and first dungeon I entered the level 2 (bottom of the dungeon) boss was killable but then a level 5 ood Black Bear (250hp vs my own 49) came out of nowhere and 2hit me. Not a summon, just a random encounter. I know the bosses on such levels are supposed to be overpowered but thats not a YASD thats a WTFBBQ...etc.

You may have been unlucky, and an out of depth enemy spawned. 49 hp is really low, so you must have been low level yourself. I don't think there's anything really overpowered here, just a bit of bad luck. At low levels, it is more expected that players will do the Udor cave first. You CAN go adventure out there in random dungeons, but they're just that: random. And that can play against you, especially at very low level like this.

The boss was easily beatable with my 49 hp. (I do believe my character was level 2 still.) The difference between 2 and 5 numerically isn't great but when you consider the scaling hp it is a great deal. 5x the hp?
