The latest changes file said that upgrades had been made to throwing, but I don't see anything that says what they are. Is it true that throwing has been upgraded so it might be useful, and, if so, what is the new formula for damages?

Where does it say that? I don't see it... Throwing formula has not been changed...

from changes.txt: "Throw needed way too much points to be able to life even a standard human monster"... looks like typo, but i can't understand what ability it is.

Oh! I see! I was not referring to the Throwing skill, but rather the Fighter's "Throw" ability! Sorry for the confusion. Yes, basically, you needed at least 10 points into it to be able to lift humans. Way too much. And creatures like Minotaurs were impossible to lift even with 100 points. Now, with 85 points, you can throw Mature Dragons!

How about the monk ability grappling throw? Is that using about the same formula? what are the formulas for those two abilities?
Thanks, Nork

Grappling Throw is actually based on strength. Grappling Throw lets you life 100 weight per strength points. A human monster such as Bandit Warrior has a weight of 1700, so you need a Strength of 17 to throw it. Then, if you have 17 strength, it's just a regular hit rate test.
Throw allows you to lift 700 weight/AP, strength doesn't matter. As you can see, the two formulas works quite differently...
