Well, the first Monster race build of 005! Here's Natalia, the Fang Naga. A small monster and by no means the best one(far from it in fact), she turned out pretty good in the end. The new Monster race is made in a way that all monsters are playable. Of course, stronger monsters will have an easier time, but all monsters should be able to do well if you take advantage of their moves, resistances and other characteristics.
So this little Fang Naga was a depth 3 monster, so the "Small but Deadly" was obviously the better choice as a stats booster. She has two special moves, a standard physical attack and a poison attack. I decided to boost her Poison attack by placing 10 points into it, as well as 5 points in Inner Elemental Mastery, which also has a Piercing Spells effect when activated. While she has no innate resistance to Poison, I used a Green Dragon mail and a Ring of Resist Poison to get some. In the end, Naga's Fang turned out to be a really good move, and with Inner Elemental's activated effect, I was able to defeat ghosts and other poison immunes.
The Essence is that of a random boss, but it wasn't originally. I had a Wyvern's essence, but lost it due to an unexpected death in the hands of Quazar. His reality twist made my level go back to 1, thus cancelling all benefits of Small but Deadly! I forgot about this, and should have brought some potions. My mistake. I also lost my second ring of resist poison, I had 75 resistance. Well, that Essence is pretty good anyway, so it will do. Plus it's eternal, being a Unique essence and all. I also had two magic rapiers, but I didn't eternalize them, I should have.
Her fighting style is swords dual wielding with combat feats. It works well, and with her good dex and Swords skill feat, this make her hit rate pretty high! And rapiers allows her to use that dex for blocking. With 25 combat feats, that's 5 Naga's Fang per attacks, which is quite powerful. Defense and Agility and a good armor gives her descent AC, though it could have been a bit higher. Magic Defense was originally 10 before I lost the Essence, now it's 5, so that's her weakness. She has good hp, but would need more in the future as monsters gets deadlier spells. Damages aren't too high, but her special moves do quite a bit, and the number of blows + high hit rate makes up for it.
Overall, she was quite fun to play for a monster that isn't too strong. It proves that lesser monsters can indeed become good and you don't need to be a Prismatic Dragon to succeed. She will need better equipment in the future if I continue playing with her, but for testing out the new race, she did a pretty good job.
