Yes! My character became Gunner! at level 16.
Race: Elf
Stats:
Str 5
Int 6
Wis 18
Dex 31
Con 9
Chr 5
Skills:
Spellcraft 1
Shooting 1
Firearms 50
Magic Defense 1
With summoned Peacemaker and sharpened bronze bullets
shot damage: 5951-41659
High wisdom was vital for reaching firearms skill level 40 as fast as possible, so at first I was priest (gains magic blood level3 and holy might level1) after 6 levels switched to marksman.
Main weapon was wisdom-based magic(Electricity and missile) and conjured peacemaker against strong monsters
I choose Elf race because of bonus to both wisdom and dexterity but it was mistake - monsters very like to block magic and it damage me(i think it's a bug, because so does monsters with counter type 1) and i should choose Celestial race instead.
To minimize dying due to block i use low-powerful (5 times with power 1) missile against all humanoid-like monsters (i hope beasts cannot block!)
But so my character dies a lot because problem with blocking and very small Constitution, but he almost don't need equipment: just lantern and five bullets:
Holy might and summoned iron plate mail gives AC 100
Now I'm planning to raise spell to 10 and INT to 10 for gaining 30 mana and easy way to restore them: On Gunner class 6 there is an ability Magic bullets, after which I'll be able to forget about limited ammo and kill every monster with a gun.
Until that use pistol against bosses and some elites, wisdom-magic against others.
I don't think this type of gunner is optimal (about 10 levels of repeated dying) and will be glad to hear any ideas
