Elemental Wave and unarmed fighting

I'm thinking that getting the requirements for High Monk is pretty much impossible in the beta, and therefore getting the Ki Blast or Dual Wave Fist abilities are out of reach.

So instead, I'm wondering, can I use the Elemental Lord's Elemental Wave ability without a weapon?

I managed to get high monk at 25... when licialhids could be used to change classes.

Assuming it goes to 1 tweak point per 10 skill points, a human crafter at level 20 could maybe pull it off. 4/5 points to crafting for a net 100 skill. Without crafted jewelery, you could make a set of gear with 70 stat points. That's more than enough to get the class, assuming regular stat points went into one of the key stats as well. Then switch to better gear for actual dungeon delving. A dwarf would be even easier, although the defense bonus feels useless on dwarves and the agility penaly can be avoided via agility gear.

This is true, but I'm planning a non-crafting character.

Does anyone know if you can use elemental wave without a weapon?

No, you need a weapon to use it.

It would be fun though, so maybe I'll allow it. Wave of Element has been converted to lua anyway...
