Counter Attack and Elemental Shield

I have a couple questions regarding the abilities Counter Attack and Elemental Shield.

1) If I have elemental shield active, and I also have the counter attack ability, do both kick in and hurt the monster, or does one take precidence?

2) Do I take damage from physical returning bosses if I'm wearing a weapon with base damge type of physical and I counter them?

3) If I'm wearing a weapon with base damage type other than physical, is the damage from counter still physical?

4) If I'm wearing a weapon with base damage type other than physical, and I counter a monster with magic returning, do I take magic damage back?

They should both trigger.

No, do damages returned from counter attacks.

3) If I'm wearing a weapon with base damage type other than physical, is the damage from counter still physical?

It shouldn't, though I might not have updated it... thanks for pointing it out.

4) If I'm wearing a weapon with base damage type other than physical, and I counter a monster with magic returning, do I take magic damage back?

No, counter attack do not return damages.
