What, exactly, does an elemental brand do for a weapon?
I'm assuming it does some extra elemental damage in addition to the weapon's physical damage. If so, does the brand damage get reflected if an elite reflects physical or magic?

Nope, no reflections from brands.

Good to know! Now what does +147 Wind mean? 147 points of wind damage per hit?

Yes, 147 extra Wind damages per hits. They are applied as a separate source of damages than the regular physical damages.

Hmm... are there any abilities that will boost or multiply the brand damage?

Racial bonuses apply (Kobolds do +50% Poison damage, Celestials do +25% Light damage, etc.) if the brand is of the same type as the bonus applies to.
The exception being Zulgors. Since all elemental attacks (including brands) are converted to Chaos, their +25% Chaos damage is effectively always helping.

Hmm... are there any abilities that will boost or multiply the brand damage? An item that can gain levels will increase in brand damages when leveling up if it has a brand. While there's no abilities to boost existing brand damages, some abilities gives brands to weapons, like Poison Weapon for example. It's 200 Poison damages per points in the ability. Useful for a Kobold dagger dual-wielder! In my list of future plans for Alchemy, I plan to make it possible to use a potion to brand a weapon with it. Once all potions becomes element-based as opposed to hard-coded effects, it will be easy to implement that!
