Hello I didn't put this in the bugs section because it seems more likely that it's a problem with my system.
When I first start Portralis, i get this message
It then crashes whenever I try to start a new game afterwards
For some reason this does not happen when running it in wine on ubuntu
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Hmm, not sure. Since you mention wine and unbuntu, I assume you're running this on Linux?
Unfortunately, I haven't compiled the game on Linux in a long while(and I don't have a Linux machine right now either...), so I don't know.... sorry.

Whoops, sorry, forgot to specify that I'm trying to run it in windows. I did try to compile it under ubuntu, but got at least one error(it was mentioned in another thread, a problem with the makefile/something missing from the archive), and i don't especially want to go to the trouble of (probably)failing to get it working when i have a windows installation

There is a windows executable already without need for any kind of compilation.

The pre-compiled executable doesn't work?
What happens when you try to run it?

When i first run it it gives the message above, then goes to the welcome screen Then, if i try to start a new game, it closes and windows produces the standard "foo has encountered a problem and needs to close" message
