One thing I noticed when summoning Young Red Dragons is that a lot of items can burn up which really takes away my desire to continue that strategy. I noticed Acid can melt objects so will probably stay away from that element too. Think I saw a potion shatter from Ice and vaguely recall something about Lightning being able to destroy rings.
I know all the Artifacts I've found are protected from the four basic elements but is anything else? Don't recall seeing protections on any purple, blue or red items. Also do any other elements destroy items?

This is an old code that isn't fun and should be removed.
Otherwise, I think Fire and Acid destroys items, but I think that's it. I'm a little surprised with ice destroying them...

If I remember corrctly cold destoys freezes potions and makes them shatter. Ice is part cold so it makes sense. Acid destroy pretty much all hard armor and most weapons. Fire destroys soft armor, scrolls, and I think ammo and ranged weapons. Electric destroys all jewelry. Indestructable items aren't affected by these, but Mana and maybe Chaos can still destroy them.

Actually Fire destroys all armor and weapons too as far as I can remember.

Chaos destroys everything that is not indestructable.

Actually the potion that I had shatter was probably the result of a Cold spell. I've played most of the Final Fantasy games so I'm used to Ice being one of the basic elements. I went into Wizard mode and tried out Electricity - it destroyed Rings and Wands but not the two Amulets I summoned.

Chaos destroys everything that is not indestructable. Aye and that isnt really what Chaos is supposed to do imho. It should change the items instead, quite randomly.
