I had a few questions about the 'spell piercing' ability. Does the activated effect negate all of a monster's 'halve damage', 'magic returning', and 'magic immunity' abilities? If so, is it one check for all of them, or are they checked individually? Would it affect a monster like a regular skeleton mage that doesn't have a boss' ability, but can still sometimes deflect a magical attack? Would it work on a monster that is merely immune or resistant to the specific type of damage you do?
Also, just to make sure, does the ability work with weapon brands and base weapon damage type? For example, if I have fire as my element type and had a weapon with a damage type of 'fire' instead of 'physical', would this make it vulnerable? Also, would the ability work the same way with a 'fire' brand on a weapon?

Ive never seen a skeleton mage magic return if it didnt have a boss ability. How odd. Some of the higher level monsters can block magic but unless they have the magic return special ability they shouldn't reflect at you. I dont think peircing spells works at all with branded weapons. Just with spells as I understand it.

The activated effect doesn't negate the boss abilities. But it will allow any sources of elemental damages to affect the monster, physical, ranged or magical. I guess it should probably be renamed to a different name, like Elemental Piercing...
