Scrolls of magic item don't work. It attempts to call a built-in function, but instead it calls the lua function with missing parameters. So, let's have it call the lua function, but WITH parameters. Here's the fix.
In objects.lua, change this:
-- Magic Item. if (scroll.sval == 17) then
make_item_magic() end
To this:
-- Magic Item. if (scroll.sval == 17) then
local item
item = lua_pick_item(0) make_item_magic(item, p_ptr.lev, FALSE) end

Electric Lanterns? well what I mean is the Magic Item fix works and then I decide to see what I can enchant with it. Lo and behold...Lanterns are enchantable....Not sure if this was intentional or not so I decided to report it. (Personally I like being able to complete my slots with a magical lantern.)

Not only lanterns, but Flasks of Oil too! Not really intentional, though you could always use a scroll of item leveling on them, so I guess a scroll of magic item is ok. I'd have to make craftable orbs or something though, to make it fair for crafters. If you're lucky enough to get a special lantern, you can officially call yourself the Green Lantern! ;D
