It is possible you can do this now, but I just haven't figured how. It would be nice if you could undo points you are currently spending for stats, skills, and abilities. I know I have made typos with my allocations, and it is annoying (but certainly not fatal) not to be able to make adjustments.
thanks

Well... for now, I would suggest the 'Abort' command from the file menu. This will quit but not save your character. Undoing typos is one of the reason why I keep the 'Abort' option.
Other than that...hmm... an 'Undo' option wouldn't be that simple to implement....

Maybe you could have that as another function of a potion of New Life. It could reset your stat and/or skill points, along with other things such as mutations, etc. This way it would be possible to correct mistakes, but not until higher levels and rarely even then. Though it would allow you to completely change from say an almost pure melee warrior at low levels to a very powerful magic using class such as elemental lord (my personal favorite), a possible balance issue.

Err... not sure I'm too fond of this idea.... Resettings the whole character is almost like cheating in my opinion... And put it on a realistic basis: Why would anybody who gets strong enough to actually FIND the potion would want to drink it? You mastered all the warrior classes, gained melee abilities, spend great money and time looking for strong armors and weapons... and now, you would ruin all these efforts just to instantly become a mage?? Better start a new character, in my opinion...
Definitly not an idea I'm very fond of...

Oh, I hadn't thought of trying 'abort'. I'll try that in the future for such problems.

Oops, another reply to the same thing.
What is the status of the potion to remove mutations? I think you mentioned you were trying to work out the exact alchemical properties, but I haven't seen any yet, so I'm thinking the formula may still be eluding you.

You haven't seen the potion because it's not in the current beta! I only recently added it to the game. It's fairly rare, but can be bought at the rare items shop... it's very expensive, but you'll eventually need one after a couple of fights against Radio and Chaos enemies. It will be there in the next beta! (though Radio and Chaos enemies may not be there for now...) Now, there will be much less(if any) mutations in the third upcoming beta. That is because I'm redoing all mutations for the next release, so their effects can be adapted to 1.8.0 more easily!

Well, at least one will be able to deal with mutations. I may have to try a potion of mutation or two just to see what you can get on an expendable character. Then again, if abort works for that, too, I could just experiment with a real character. (Just for experimental purposes. I wouldn't be doing it to cheat.)
