Hello everyone
Currently you get 1 additional skill point per level for every 20 points in wisdom. So if i want to get more skill points i have to pump up wisdom as soon as possible.
My idea is to make wisdom affect all known skills (for example +2% per point in wisdom), but every character would get fixed amount of skill points per level independently from wisdom.

Actually, in 1.8.0, both Intelligence and Wisdom provides skill points now. However, the 2% idea, I'm not sure I'm too fond of it... At base, you get 2 skills/levels, so a total of about 200 skill points. Now here's the trick: 50 points into Swords(or another weapon), 50 points into Spellcraft/Elemental(new skill of 1.8.0), 50 Agility and 50 Defense(another new 1.8.0 skill). At 2% per wisdom/intelligence, reaching 100 will raise ALL these skills to 150. That's 600 skill points!!! And being 2% per stats, a Raise Intelligence/Wisdom spell would just make that even crazier. With the current system, skill gaining is not retroactive, and thus you need to plan how you raise your Intelligence/Wisdom stats. It is harder to get something crazy like a total of 600 skill points, and the fact that it's not retroactive balances the character in terms of skill points gaining. And it's actually more realistic this way! If you spend 20 years not reading/studying anything, and then after that you start reading some books and studying science, you will become more intelligent/wise, but you will not instantly learn everything you could have learned during those 20 years you spent. Those 20 years are gone now...
