variaz,
congratulations on a very innovative band variant! i really like the multiple ways of tailoring character development, and being able to play as a monster.
a couple humble suggestions for future versions: -enable ascii mode for binary distributions. i always use ascii mode. -document roguelike commands. the standard keyset is documented. however, i always switch to roguelike keyset, but these keys are unfortunately undocumented.
some more long-term suggestions: -add support for posting to 'angband.oook.cz'. bands with 'angband.oook.cz' support get a lot more visibility. -add autopicker/autosquelcher (e.g. hengband, tome). -allow windows to be resized (e.g. hengband, tome).
i think if you were to implement all those changes, newangband would become a very popular variant.

Thanks you for your suggestions. Glad you enjoy my variant! As for ASCII mode, most peoples don't realize it's easy to disable it. With the Windows version, just uncheck the graphics in the graphics menu. DOS version, there's an option for it. But perhaps graphics should be disabled by default...

variaz,
doh! it never occurred to me to deselect the graphics menu option. i was looking for a 'None' option. thanks.
