I have a ring of flying, and I can't fly over the chasms in that dungeon with the Zulgor. This seems unusual as I can jump them fine and flying monsters have no problem with them. Is this a bug, or is it on purpose?
This isn't a bug, but it is really hard to see where you're going since the chasms are pure black. I realize this is very realistic. Still, would it be possible to make the tile color something even slightly visible?

You should be able to fly over them. This is probably a bug... They were actually slightly visible at first, and I WANTED them to be pure black. This is done on purpose, to add realism AND to add a bit of difficulty to the dungeon. I will definitly not change this one. After all, it does give this dungeon a unique feeling. So you're almost finish with the current beta, heh? Did you actually made it trough with a legitimate character though? (You did mention some monsters dropped way out of depth items in one of your e-mails due to your modified k_info! )

Yup, made it through. My dwarf did rather well, although he still had more deaths than I would have liked. I'm working on a Zulgor with an emphasis on the fighting skill now. I'll see how it works. I've started a kobold crossbow guy, too, but that is going to be way more difficult, at least for the way I play.
I rather figured the chasms were supposed to be totally black, but I thought I'd ask.
The only thing of note was that the final boss seemed rather weak. Some of the generic bosses seemed quite a bit tougher than he was. Of course, I had the option to run from them.

Don't worry, there will be much tougher bosses in the next chapters of the story... Yes, I've been very careful not to make him too strong. Because, well, he IS strong(don't try to survive his melee attack), but to compensate that, he only gets one attack. His chaos spell and his dex/mind/skills are pretty standard for a monster of his level, though in 0.2, his chaos attack is slightly stronger because it's now based on mind rather than level. The Mature dragons are actually much stronger than he is, even for melee attacks!
