I read a scroll of blindness at the stairs. But when I climbed out, the town was still visible. I'm quite sure I even saw the guards around the dungeon.

Really? Oh well, never found it. Thanks for reporting, although this probably won't be a very high priority bug....

Seen one town you have seen them all, or at least you remember where stuff is.

If you leave town and come back at at night, it's still bright. (at least the first town) It will be dark untill you leave, then when you enter it will be bright again.

Oh! So this is what this is all about... Well guess what? It's actually NOT a bug! The reason why I implemented that is that when you resurrect with nothing on you, everything is black, you don't see anything, and finding stuff becomes difficult and you don't see anybody around you. Very annoying. So when you enter a town, it's bright.

Heh heh, let's just say that Portralis is advanced enough to provide constant illumination for its citizens.

Well, there IS a technological kingdom in Portralis, so Jindar and the other kingdoms could very well have bought electric lights!
