Is there a limit to the number of abilities that you can have? I'm getting a message that I can not learn any new abilities. If there is a limit how many is it?

I've gotten that message myself so I'm pretty sure there's supposed to be a limit. It's more than 20 at least; probably around 25-30.

Hmmm... I'm pretty sure I have set it to 20... are you sure you were able to get more than 20?

Is there any reason why we shouldn't be able to have more than 20 abilities? I did a little bit of experimenting with my character in the early levels and now I can't get any of the real skills I want. Nork

The reason is that eventually, the abilities list menu has a limit on the number of activated abilities you can have! Hence the limit of abilities. However, I guess it could be higher than 20. There probably wouldn't be a problem raising it to 30...

30? I suppose you could increase it to that level. Since there is a cap of 100 total ability points, though, it seems unlikely that any one character would need more than 20. Of course, you could let someone spread their points out enough that they don't accomplish much, but I'm not sure if that would be actually helping or not.

20 abilities is probably too much, and I cannot think how having 30 abilities could be effective either... But I guess if one wants to try it, then it could be possible. Although a serious character definitly don't need that much.

I thought it was more than 20, but I could very easily be wrong. I've never even had 10 different abilities in my none cheating characters. I've only run into the limit when cheating.

And you already have 20 abilities? Wow, nork, you're the epitome of multi-classing!! ;D All right then, I'll raise the max to 30 for the next version. It's true that some abilities are good with even only one points...

Thanks, there are probably 4-5 abilities that I would not pick up again if I was making the same kind of character, but for the most part I like the abilities I have picked up.
