Quest(ion): entrance to ruins?

So Udor just got sacked by orcs. I ran the heck away from the bigger uglies, due north bound for Jindar. Along the way, I find a nice little down with an undead problem. My problem is that I cannot find any entrance within the nearby ruins. I'd love to delve down and smack some ghosts and bones, but no stairs!

Quick edit: I just found a thread about this very thing. The only problem is I'm a celestial. As far as I can tell, I have permanent levitation. While I can fold my wings up and walk down stairs, diving into a pool of water seems to be against my nature.

I found it, but I'm a Celestial. I loaded myself with 300% max weight and I still don't touch the water. How do I land and/or swim?

Now, flying doesn't matter here, you just need to search that tile. That's the 's' command.

Better get familiar with it, you'll need it at the end of the ruins! Also, I hope you have some items that gives Magic Defense, invested some points in it, or placed a few AP into the Rogue's Evasion ability, because the ruins boss has powerful spells, and you will NOT survive his spells, especially as a Celestial.

Celestials are good for killing undeads, but at the same time, they can be killed by them easily if you're not careful.

*giggles* Unless, of course, said Celestial has 20 points in that wonderful sixth level Element Lord ability. Or just enough into the shield to maintain it without going crazy. Celestial Dark Lord is so... deliciously ironic.

Actually, I kinda' wonder if some kind of reduced effect for celestial/demon/zulgor dark/light/not-chaos element lords wouldn't be in order...

But yeah... black 's'es are your worst bloody frikkin' nightmare as a celestial -- well, actually, pretty much every bloody thing. One, they are faster than you -- I've been triple-cast on while at like +15 speed -- and, hey... darkbolt. My gold is fleeing! (Again.)

And yeah... sometimes you have to search more than once, it seems. Might be the problem, that.

A non-chaos elemental lord for zulgors actually isn't possible. You're automatically a Chaos Lord when you use Zulgor, and if you're not, Chaos is unavailable as an element choice.

Indeed, a Dark Lord is a great class for a celestial, just as a Light Lord is great for a demon. Now you understand why Shan, the Golden Sul-Rin of Light, is highly worshipped in Rhyzendal. (it means the Demon Light Lord actually fits the Portralis universe!)
