Well, i've tried to replace true shot with 18 levels of Accurate Shots ability - and it was ok. One miss per 10 shots or so, and this for all shots, for any skill. Haven't checked nightmares, but all those fused warriors\four elemental can survive only one or two High-Velocity Fanning attacks. This is ammo-consuming but fatal. Sadly I was killed stupidly and lost last of my 12-shots karingen pistols.
But then i tried reincarnate WITHOUT accurate shots. And yes, this is painful. I've almost forgot about how I hate these 10misses,1 block,10misses sequences. IMHO overall 50+ difficulty is ok, but counters can be tweaked.

No, i don't use misfortune items. They are pretty useless for enchanter. I just want to say that if someone who can don't care much about counters can manage those monsters then problem is in counters, not monsters. Monsters are challenging, interesting, dangerous, but mortal.

Even without counters they are pretty lethal imho. Particularly the ones with Soul Crush ability + spamming ability.

Yes, taking two soul crushing hits a row is dangerous, but you can run away after one hit, rest, wait until summoned monsters disappear, then come back to decrease their life counter more.

Dangerous? Lethal. (for the average character that is. I'm certain yours have millions of extra hps) and we are talking more like 3-4 hits not 1-2.

Just note that using Misfortune items is not an abuse by any means. In fact, it's a good strategy to get some reds, then go to the last floor, recall, take the red items, go back, and you only have one stairway to find until you get to the quest level, at which point reds have no drawback and lots of powers.

Sorry if you mistook my words Variaz I didn't actually mean to imply he was. I was just refering to the post about loading up tons of misfortune to get a green and finally he succeeded. It was a backhanded compliment if anything.

That would work great if Recall actually worked the way we want it to.
