So, you've just decomposed something, and the components looks...strange? Then there's most likely a type in the crafting recipe.

first: pair of shoes = warhammer handle
EDIT by Variaz: Fixed. The shoe form and warhammer handle had the same sval. Change the shoe form to use it's own sval.

Combat revolver breaks down into iron ingot and pistol partses (note that 'parts' is the correct form)...but when you craft it back again it gets only +15/+15 to_hit and to_dam instead of the usual bonuses same applies for Crude Pistol (-10/+10). Also this recipe cant be upgraded with better ores, not sure why not but I guess the revolvers have set values so upgrading them is useless.

When crafting something, the to_h and to_d are determined entirely based on your Crafting skills, ignoring the object's base bonus. That can easily be changed though.
And yes, bronze, steel and that stuff won't work. Guns don't follow the standard Bronze->Iron->Steel... pattern.

When crafting something, the to_h and to_d are determined entirely based on your Crafting skills, ignoring the object's base bonus. That can easily be changed though. And yes, bronze, steel and that stuff won't work. Guns don't follow the standard Bronze->Iron->Steel... pattern. Guns dont follow the other thing either...since they retain the bonuses they have regardless of your crafting skill.

Another typo perhaps? Potion of Agitated water breaks down into Calm water and small axe handle? darn tooting its agitated! Id be agitated too if I had a small axe handle in me! Anyway combining calm water and axe handle produces nothing as youd expect.
==Edit== False alarm..It turns out my brain mistook what occured and misinterpreted the contents of my inventory. Just took me a while to peice that together. Sorry this is NOT a bug report or typo report.

You don't get anything but a plain old boring (+0, +0) boomerang when you craft one together now. At least, that's what I got with a bronze one. I could have tweaked it, but what's the point?

not sure is it a bug, but... Bronse sabre = Bronze long sword+Bronze long sword same with iron

I don't think so, but I'm not the one who made sabers. It was necro who made them, so he decided that recipe. Should probably be standardized, and use a saber handle or something.

Cure light wounds breaks down into water potion and herbs. 2 water potions produce a cure light wounds.
-update- looks like 2 of the same item makes the first item in k_info that has that as one component. 2 bronze ingots=bronze boomerang for instance.

An iron crown takes an ingot of mithril and a crown mold. I was checking out crowns in k_info because abusing the bug above, 2 piles of 1 gold coin = a golden crown. Said combination took 22 alchemy, i don't know why, but the crown takes 135 crafting to decompose?
Rifle parts+ingot of iron = ingot of steel...

why does a staff of speed + dragon hide armor create heavy dragon hide armor? I thought that was a mistake, until i saw the greater heavy dragon hide is similar, but using a staff of power instead. Just seems odd.
