I can also confirm that physical returning is completely broken.

Several times now Ive run into an odd error where the game exits with an alert message of "cant find txxx.txt" where xxx is some number. Seems very random. Note this is pretty nasty when you havent saved for a while.

txxx.txt means it's trying to load a town... Did you get this by going randomly in the wild?
....could it be that I defined some places that don't have their corresponding filee?

According to the help file, every 6 points of agility adds a multiple of your AC. The current code:
p_ptr.to_a = p_ptr.to_a + ((p_ptr.ac / 10) * p_ptr.skill[6]) should be changed to
p_ptr.to_a = p_ptr.to_a + ((p_ptr.ac / 6) * p_ptr.skill[6]) As it is, every point adds 10% of your AC as to_a. That still leaves a small inconsistency because the help file indicates that every full 6 points increases it, and the code adds a bonus for every point.
Why is it that every place any stat is adjusted in passive.lua, you also adjust the displayed stat by the same amount? wouldn't it be more efficient to do everything with actual values, then at the end of passive set the displayed values equal to the actual values?

The "displayed" and "normal" values are just the way the game is coded internally. There might be some places where it uses the normal one versus the other though, so I won't change that just yet.
And for Agility, there's nothing wrong in the .lua code, it's actually the help file that is wrong. It still displays the old formula.
EDIT: I've just fixed the help file.

Good to know on the help file. As for the other displayed versus actual, does "calc_equipment()" separate the 2 for unidentified items? I can't see any other place they might be different, and setting the displayed values only one place in the file would be a nice speedup for the "calc_bonuses" function.

I am not sure where one is used exclusively versus the other. Even for unidentified items, it makes no differences.
...actually, I think there is one of the hard-coded functions where one is used versus the other. But in the scripts, it's just the way it's designed. Which could probably be changed.

well, I was looking at the calculations for mana in passive.lua. As near as I can tell, if you have the enchanter ability to get mana for wearing crafted items, you get the bonus for all items even if not crafted.

Third time died on this reason: I'm repeatedly using spin atack (no combat feats, just using from "U" menu) against imps\hounds\wolves pack. There are some elites and bosses. During the serie of atacks message "Your atack is reflected to you" displayed and i am dead. Why i am dead? - Maybe it is physical returning? but physical returning broken in this version as I remember. And spin atack mustn't be returned according the help file - Maybe it is magic returning? no, branded damages don't reflects and they are too week to kill me anyway - Maybe it is monster blocking? then where is message about blocking and, which is more impotant, why did they blocks my atack with counter type 0? (last time i'm died while fighting with Dark imp)
So i'm not sure which of this is a problem, but problem exists

txxx.txt means it's trying to load a town... Did you get this by going randomly in the wild? ....could it be that I defined some places that don't have their corresponding filee? Sorry about the delay in responding: Yes going from one section to another causes the error to trigger. Its not just in the wilderness that this occurs but in towns and not in places that are undefined but where the txxx.txt file actually exists

That's strange, because I haven't encountered it so far.... yet another bug which only happens to others and not me. Reminds me of my job.

Well I seem to attract those kinds of bugs in many games so Im not entirely surprised. It does seem like a weird error since it is entirely random...Im thinking it might have something to do with the amount of memory used for keyboard buffering or something related to that because I find that it happens more often (though its not repeatable at will) when Im zooming (shift + arrow key) past areas I dont need to be in for long.

I use the shift+arrow keys a lot as well to move quickly in places like towns, and I've never had any problems so far.

Ok here is another bug imho (though maybe its a "feature" ala windows) When in town and you rest or somehow pass the time until nightfall...the entire screen goes black except buildings (and your character symbol) this means if you arent carrying a lamp at that moment of somekind and you move you stand a chance of accidently killing a townsfolk and losing alignment points. If you cross borders like in Jindar the screen lights up again revealing everything. I have had to navigate dark areas at night without benefit of a flashlight or torch irl. Ive never once killed anyone. Of course I dont do 100s of damage per fist irl but then again I do know how to hurt someone if I intend to. Wouldnt it be more realistic if you insist on keeping the darkness to make your character "bump into something weird in the dark...a chill goes up your spine"? or something else like "You bump into your neighbor's wife and profusely apologize as you attempt to untangle limbs." etc?
The idea being that you arent running around with your deadliest weapons in hand in the middle of a town full of wandering people (WHO DONT OWN TORCHES EITHER???) at midnight. Just a thought.

Actually, Day and Night right now is kind of pointless and is a legacy of older versions. It could either be implemented for real, and actually have some day-only and night-only events, or be removed completely.
