Unfortunately, this bug still exists. It happens intermittently. Self-projections tends to work most of the time, but there are still some random crashes with them. During some testing, I thought I was lucky and finally got a save with constant crash to debug it. But then the bug went away after making some completely irrelevant changes, like adding a debug message. Removing the message brought back the bug.... for a while. Now it's gone, and it hasn't returned yet.
I don't know if it's a memory issue, a lua issue, but this bug is definitely a nasty one, and deserves it's own section. If you have any information, save files, or anything else regarding this bug, post it here.

Going away when you add debug messages sounds like a memory leak somewhere. Those are always a pain.

Is this part of the self-projection bug? After putting points in Blessed Blood for the Priest and waiting for the initial activation of the regen the game hangs and I have to close it. Even with only 1 pt in the skill, as soon as I take a step and the regen should process, app hang.

Yes, that's the bug.
And when I first tested Blessed Blood, it was working fine, and I didn't get any problems. Which is why this particular bug is very annoying...

Well, there was at least one thing wrong with the current release's code, and it was checking for Magic Defense and an Elemental Lord ability whenever you were touched by a projection, regardless if it's a self-protection or a monster attack. Of course, in the case of a self-projection, it will most likely cause crashes. Now I can die on elemental fields from monsters once more, without the game crashing. I'm not saying I won the war against this bug, but it's at least one battle.
