Antimagic is traditionally a fighter's milieu. Look at tome 3.0+ or any of the other games with this kind of ability. I do think the radius should be extremely limited. It can't be a 1 point wonder though. To be effective vs important monsters (bosses for example who summon elite cr2s etc) you'd need some serious points in it, so the 5 point thing might be moot anyway. But I still feel it should be a passive ability that turns on and off.

So does this mean that there may be an anti-summoning ability coming in another advanced class? (Looking forward to it if so).
Another ability that was missing from the new defender (understandably as it always felt like something that should belong to a magic using class) was the armoured spellcasting. Will this make a return in another advanced class too? It was always one of my favourite abilities.

It was removed mainly because it was the best ability for mana, and this wasn't suitable for the Defender.
This would be more of a High Mage ability, when it comes back. An anti-summoning ability would also make sense for them.
