I tried defensive evasion and it really doesn't seem overpowered to me. Keeping in mind that it's only the base that affects the others and you'd have to raise base defense to extremely high levels to get the other two to worthwhile levels. That's an awful lot of points you might otherwise be using on other skills while using powerful armors and points in levelables to increase your defensive abilities. I personally didn't even consider it worth the cost for my build...since special feats I wanted were only available with base skill increase, plowing that many skill points into base defense just wasn't a great option. Obviously this doesn't hold true for some builds, but I just wanted to point out that a truly overpowered ability would be a lot more obviously useful across the board, imho.

Defensive Evasion was heavily nerfed I believe and is not worth it now. Defender really only has a few abilities that are worthwhile at the moment. Heavily Armored, Armored Spellcasting as mentioned by others in your other thread and Armored Might are all decent. Everything else is underpowered and unnecessary.

Defensive Evasion is still useful, IMO, since it affects both Agility and Magic Defense. Magic Defense, you never have enough, and Agility affects your ability to jump, which is useful to any characters.
I agree that some abilities are a little underpowered atm. Great Guard should be more reliable and the shield-enhancing abilities needs a buff.

Great Guard is useless past the beginning levels which makes it's level 6 status really bad. DE is ok if you only want to invest in Defense...otherwise its not worth it at all. That is the problem with a lot of otherwise ok abilities. They tend towards all or nothing OR they break the game with synergy. Not a lot of inbetween.
