Here's a modified makefile for linux running a 64 bit kernel, with no X (graphical interface) enhancements/dependencies. Removing the -m64 -D"L64" flags from the CFLAGS line should work for 32 bit kernels. I'd suggest setting the TERM shell variable to either "xterm-color" or "scoansi" before playing. Attachments:

Cool beans Adelie. Unfortuntely it seems this forum is dead. :/ No new posts this month and no update coming any time soon. But great work! I don't run a Linux box or Id be glad to test it for you.

That's great. I'll be running in Linux for work stuff today, so I'll try to find time to test it out.

Attached is an improved makefile for linux. I've had the chance to run it in 3 flavors (X+curses on 32 bit, curses only on 32 and 64 bit). Look for "adelie", pick a CFLAGS/LIBS pairing that works, and make sure the rest are commented out (the X+curses 32 bit is uncommented by default). All 3 variants marked as tested build (assuming you have the correct lib files on your system), but the 64 bit is going to need some code diving before it's fully operational (event and dialog code need some more ifdefs). 32 bit doesn't seem to have any glaring problems. cheers. ps: resting is a nicer term Attachments:

Thanks you very much for the makefile. I will surely include it in the source code when I upload the next build!

I found the dialog issue on 64 bit, and am moving further explorations on the platform to the bug board, as there'll be code patches (and likely more to come as less obvious bugs become apparent). The files there should supersede the ones attached here.
