I guess I figured it would be on par with other base classes but since I don't understand it at all apparently I can't tell whether it is or isn't but it sure doesn't seem like it. Try a Demon or Celestial with Create Song. Get a small amount of music skill and then pump agility. The aim is to dance around the enemy letting passive attacks do the work. Only magic/element immune enemies will be a problem and once you have missile passive they can be dealt with quickly enough. Speed gear is also your friend. You can play through extremely quickly using this method.

You can play through extremely quickly using this method. I figured that's how it should work but it doesn't not sure why. I used a missile spell and no result at all ...did absolutely nothing whatsoever. The confusion spell worked but terribly and only really affected my own character when it was returned 1000x fold. Now I haven't tried a biased race (I chose human for the bonuses) but I assume that the same problem will occur. Perhaps if there is something I am missing here that there should be some updated help doc to help us through the immense changes in Portralis. Just a thought. One of the problems Im facing now is not enough time to actually really dig deep into Port. It has been ages since the last build so I lost all my knowledge of the mechanics of the game and have to relearn everything from scratch. And with my new pc Im spending alot more time on MTGO than anything else.

I find that the first 5 levels are a little tricky because the radius of Create Song is only 1 (although the damage is fine and can be upgraded on level up). Buy Heal Other and make it an effect song for early healing if you need it. Personally I don't increase Create Song beyond 5 and just rely on Music skill upgrades for more damage after that. That way I can pick up Lore of the Bard and be a charisma caster later on.
The advantage of the biased race is that they do more damage with their damage type and are immune to it so magic returning critters aren't instant death. It is good for a high speed play style.
I haven't messed with confusion. I rely on quickly killing everything with passive damage songs. Also high speed doesn't seem to increase the rate at which the song damage triggers so sometimes it is better to wait rather than moving about since a wait always triggers it.

I can't believe this bug is STILL around. When you equip a two-handed weapon replacing a one-handed weapon it goes in the b slot for some reason instead of the a slot. I thought this was fixed a long time ago but apparently not. And a new related bug that is VERY ANNOYING: if you have a pickaxe equipped and you try to equip say a dagger it will not equip the dagger but instead either reequip itself or another pickaxe should you happen to have one in your bag. ( Actually I stand corrected. If you have a pickaxe equipped it will only reequip itself when you try to exchange it for something else unless you remove it first. How annoying.

Could we PLEASE change the color the mirror balls so that they DON'T look like some ingredient on the floor? I've died 5 times to that so far because it appears right at the edge of a dark area and I can't see if it's moving until it is too late. Make it silver or something PLEASE. If you were actually the person you are playing you would easily distinguish between some junk lying on the floor and a flying moving mirror reflecting ball that instakills you if you get within 5 feet of it.

I had a couple minor things to add in a different area.
1. I forgot to add the stat bonus to the wisdom and charisma rings, so they're just sustain stat rings right now.
2. I don't know if this is a bug or not, and it certainly is very minor if it is. I made a few crafted items(bronze or other very low level) and then spent the points. Later, I couldn't destroy them for some reason or other. I haven't done a larger check to see if it's really consistent or not. As I said, even if it's a bug, I don't see it as a significant, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

I've encountered a freeze bug several times now and I have a save from right before it happens. It seems entering certain random quest levels triggers it.
I'll send the save via email.

Defense transfer with an Iron Platemail to an Iron Dagger left 50 points of base armor on the Platemail. I assume this is a bug.

There is a bug here one way or another with the mining skill. Either it should NOT be available to crafted/levelable items or it should count towards your mining skill when such items are equipped. Otherwise its a wasted point trap for the unwary.

I noticed that the Passive Songs deal damage as long as you do anything BUT attack/cast. If you do either of those things the passive songs do not trigger no matter how many enemies stand right next to you. Is this on purpose?

I ran across several ivahala characters in the flow machine dungeon (where you go to turn it on) on level 19. They were not pets yet they were friendly. I had to turn off my passive to avoid hurting them and making them hostile. Why couldn't I dismiss them? What are the consequences of them going hostile? Were they even supposed to be there?

Pressing the switch at the flow still creates display problems. (I reported this way back when.) The message does not clear off the screen and the screen is filled with darkness that you have to clear manually by walking around.

I made a heal song instant which had 0 effect on me. Did I do something wrong?

Is it possible that there could be SOME indicator when a song is on or off that is readily apparent? As it is I can't tell if my song is off/on or the monsters are just immune.

Craftable/Levelable items still can not be reset if you make a typo while adding points to them.
