I found Gando's "bug". There was a "twist" spell active. Just cast Restore Fate, and that will fix it.

It appears that Spellcraft no longer effects the radius of a ball spell. I looked up the code in learn.c and the bonus to radius from the specialized skills is there but not from spellcraft:int rad; s32b elembonus = (p_ptr->skill[22] * 20) + (p_ptr->skill[1] * 10); s32b alterbonus = (p_ptr->skill[23] * 5) + (p_ptr->skill[1]); s32b mystbonus = (p_ptr->skill[24] * 20) + (p_ptr->skill[1] * 10); rad = spell_ptr->radius; if (is_elemental(spell_ptr->type)) { if (spell_ptr->type == GF_MISSILE) elembonus = elembonus / 2; spellpower += multiply_divide(spellpower, elembonus, 100); [glow=red,2,300]rad += (p_ptr->skill[22] / 20);[/glow] } if (is_alteration(spell_ptr->type)) { spellpower += multiply_divide(spellpower, alterbonus, 100); rad += (p_ptr->skill[23] / 20); } if (dir == 0) { if (!(get_aim_dir(&dir))) return; } [glow=red,2,300]ignore_spellcraft = TRUE;[/glow] fire_ball(spell_ptr->type, dir, spellpower, rad); ignore_spellcraft = FALSE;
In fact it seems spellcraft no longer effects the radius on anything - is this intentional?

I can't use wilderness lore in the tavern basement. At least that's what the game keeps telling me. I get "you cannot use this here" every time I move. I can see the enemies near me, though.
I am holding a bow, and I have 13 dexterity. I have 0% to damage. I should get 5 to dam per dexterity, right?
Um, since I'm playing a ranger, just wondering, why is grow trees a depth 45 book nowhere in the shop?

Um, since I'm playing a ranger, just wondering, why is grow trees a depth 45 book nowhere in the shop? The wilderness lore thing is an oversight. Will fix it. Dex don't actually increase your overall to_d. But it is included in the damages calculation. Grow Trees is a powerful spell early on, as it can block corridors and all. (I guess the rare items shop could have it though).

If I completed the dungeon why is it still twisted?? That seems rather bizarre and not a "bug" but a BUG. Well whatever...the fix isn't necessarily so simple...need to HAVE the restore fate spell to cast it.

I was playing a celestial rods/spellcaster character in 006, and I came upon a room with some ice fields in the Fidac ruins dungeon. I stepped on the field and the game froze up. I ran the converter to 007 and then stepped on the field in 007 and again, the game froze.

Yeah, noticed that. It seems the fields crash the game when they're about to kill you. I can take damages, but instead of dying, game will crash. Not sure why...

I found that while playing monster race, if you cast a spell (not innate ones) using m -> 'C'ast it will use your mana, while using 'p' it won't. I guess this is not the right behavior

'm' is no longer used for regular spells in the latest build.

But I found in the "List of commands" that 'E' is still "Eat some food"

hehe dont use 'E' then or reassign it via macro? I meant only the docs show the command but pressing 'E' yields a command not found. For something different: I was trying summoning monster kinds (via Conjuration -> Summon Kind) and I tried putting an '@' for monster kind to summon... Result: Portralis hangs with CPU at 100% Better check the char selected.

Not a major one, but I can't get Licalyds to work if they are in Inventory (a) slot. If I pick something else up that goes in slot (a) the Licalyd now works fine (so I can work around it). I can't find the problem myself in the code but my knowledge of lua is pretty weak. Fixed. Modified the function in the source code to return -1 when nothing is found, and then changed the script to abort on -1. That worked. This bug was annoying when trying to activate a nightmare licialhyd... Or any licialhyds for that matter.

Also when starting a new game with monster race, when choosing a monster kind, if you select any kind and then press ESC a general kind "Monster" will be selected and you can't change it. I think it should return to the previous menu.

I think it should return to the previous menu. This is true but you can press "S" on the name selection screen to start over.
