I just tried out Wilderness Lore on my newest character. As it is now, it's useful, but I wouldn't reccomend it since it doesn't work while running. If it did, I'd probably take it. Also I noticed that some terrain types aren't always revealed. Both shallow and deep water were only being revealed about half the time. Stairs were probably about the same. They'd just show up as dark squares as if you hadn't seen them.

Off-topic note: The reveal effect from the Diviner ability Divine Dungeon also does not reveal stairs, water, or lava.

For more specific uses, I'm going to start putting a single point in counter attack(warrior clvl 6) for all my melee characters from now on. After playing a kensai with both this and Iajutsu I rarely have to attack non-elite/boss/super-over-leveled monsters. I can just walk next to them and wait. My AC at lvl 27 is near 10K which is enough for those monsters to miss the majority of the time. This means I can get all my hits if I so choose, plus a hit for every attack they make and another if they miss. I noticed earlier I did over a million points of damage in one round to an elite skeleton knight. I will definately get Iajutsu again, but most likely only when I'm playing a Kensai. The extra attacks are very nice, but not worth losing heavy armor for other builds. Oh, I was wondering if anyone can tell me if a single point in Critical Hits is worth it?

A single points in critical hits is just a power of 5, which isn't a lot. A little more points will make it more worthwhile.
Critical Hits is useful is you have many blows, and a good hit rate to hit often. As you probably guessed, it works well with daggers! But less so with heavier weapons.
